Secret Santa’s/ Hot Dog Luncheon/Ice Skating Party

Secret Santa's were chosen this week.  Students should have a 3x5 card with their SS and what they would like.  All three items should not exceed $5.00  Also, if you volunteered to help set up and take down for our Hot Dog Lunch please arrive around 11:00 am to help set up.  We will leave for the skating rink around 12:15 pm.  You can stay to help clean up after we are gone.  Our ice time is from 12:45 - 1:35 pm.

The Volunteer Spot is full already!  You people are amazing!  Thank you again for your support.  The Sturgeon Museum was great time, thank you again for your generous purchases at our Sturgeon Gift Shop.  We raised around $150.00 to continue funding for Sturgeon in the Classroom.  Bloodworms need to be ordered and shipped frozen; that definitely gets expensive.  Water testing kits and filter replacements all add up.  Your financial support while helping the kids earn the money with our museum was phenomenal.  Two lessons for the price of one.  ;-)  Thanks again!

Sturgeon Museum/Ice Skating Party

The sturgeon museum was today!  I really enjoyed seeing all the projects and creativity that these kids have produced!  Thank you again for all your support and involvement.  It means a lot to us teachers!

Ice Skating Party / Hot Dog Luncheon is coming up Dec. 21st.  We will also have Secret Santas Tues. Wed. and Thurs of that week.  Please see the attached list for the plan.   The skating party will be a great time and you are more than welcome to come and skate with us.  Or, just hangout around the rink and take pictures.  Bring your own skates or rent for a few dollars. 

Here is the Volunteer Spot Sign-Up for the Hot Dog Party ( who doesn’t love a hot dog party! ;-) )  We will also be looking for parent volunteers to help set up the food and clean up after we leave for the rink.

The pumpkin carving party and annual Halloween Costume Parade is coming up this Wednesday on Oct. 31st.

So many events coming up!

Maritime Museum next week Wednesday Oct. 3rd.  It will be a late pick up from school.  6pm.(ish)

Picture Day is the following day Oct. 4th. 

Bike trip coming on Oct. 11th.  Drop off and pick up at Macatawa Natural Area.  (Note Coming with more Details)

Dancing with the Teachers is coming Oct. 13th!  We would love your support that night!  Come on out and support Quincy and the Dance Program!

Reading Marathon is Oct. 19th!  We are so thankful for your support.  We the money raised teachers have been able to do some many exciting things!

First Week Finished!

It’s already the end of the first week of school.   I really enjoyed getting to know all of your kids this week, and look forward to learning even more about them over the next couple of weeks.

Agenda’s are $3.00.  Send the money in asap.  Thank you! 

Parent Meeting will be Sept. 13th at 6pm.  It’s pretty important that at least 1 parent is there for the meeting.  We go over some specifics about our up coming field trip, bike trip, camp and pizza fundraiser, and other special events.

Census forms came home, please get those filled out at returned soon.

Group Camp Photo

A Classroom and School Somewhere Under the Rainbow

Thank you so much for all the gifts at the end of the year!  They were amazing, but the kind words and notes you and the kids left in the cards were the real keep sakes!   I have truly enjoyed getting to know your kids!  I hope they come back to visit me early and often.

Thank you for all the support this year.  Knowing that our parking lot is filled with parents on the past special days recently makes me reflect on what an amazing school district and community we have.  It takes a village!  I will miss all of these kids, but I am so excited for what their future holds.  I’m excited to hear about all the great things they will do and see. 

Have a great summer!  Enjoy all the time and experiences.  For those of you who have younger siblings still coming, I look forward to getting to know them as well!
