Sturgeon Arrival, Gold Fish Breathing Rate Lab

This week we looked at adaptation of characteristics.  Specifically, we collected some data of gold fish breathing rates when they are in room temp water and then in much cooler water.
The kids formed their hypothesis and then collected the data, we complied this data in our conclusions and graphed it.  We still have some gold fish that need a good home!  Shoot me an email if you’d like one!
Next, Friday Oct. 28th will be our pumpkin carving party, and annual costume parade here at Quincy!
We won first place at Dancing with the Teachers last Saturday!  Thank you to all who came out to support!

Sturgeon Learning, DWTT, and Pumpkin Carving

This week kicked off with our widely successful Reading Marathon!  Thank you so much to all who donated!  We definitely doubled our money from last years fundraiser!

This week we spent learning all about our lake sturgeon coming to class very soon.  The kids did a great job, and we are excited to get the fish here!

Dancing with the Teachers is October 15th at DeWitt, we need some amazing crowd participation just like in years past!  It’s always a great time!  We hope to see you there!

Our pumpkin carving party will be Oct. 28th before the costume parade.  See attached note in the email.
